Another billing account number query

I've had a read through the community but not getting a suitable answer.

I got a sim from EE but through Plusnet as they couldn't provide the speed they were charging from. I've popped the sim in my router and it's working a treat which is great. HOWEVER, I want to access competition websites but thanks to EE trying to control what I can access, even though I'm 51!, I can't do this unless I change settings in the app.

So now comes my problem, I try to link the sim as a mobile and it doesn't work. I try to link it as broadband and it finds my account but not my 'Billing Account Number'. I ring the techie people and get promised it's all set up but will just reuire a few hours to be live but nothing happens.

So what is the solution?

Hi @Scottkr1

Welcome to the community.

It's the content lock/parental controls that you need to turn off. This How do I turn on parental controls on mobiles help page explains a few different ways to do it.

Are you near an EE Store? If you are, it may be best to pop in with some photo ID and they can try and remove the restrictions there.

@Scottkr1 : If you have a SIM inside a router you have a Mobile BB router. You don't need an a/c no. to link a mobile router. That's for fixed Home BB. You link it by its mobile no.

Visit http://add-on.ee.co.uk/status from a device connected to your mobile router by WiFi to see your data & credit status as well as its mobile no. at the top.
