I have just got a 4g mobile router, made necessary by the fact that broadband is not yet installed to my new build. My smart TV will not connect and this appears to be because it requires 10mb/sec and when I checked I'm only getting 5! I'm connected on my phone and have done WhatsApp video calls ok. However the router is constantly flashing green. Any thoughts appreciated.

Hey there @Hypat1a!
Welcome to the EE Community 😊
Have you ever had a chance to try a speed test on your phone to see what speeds you're getting on 4G via that?
Data speeds can differ a bit from one device to the other, and it may be a case that the phone is picking up 5G.
5 Mbps definitely seems slow for 4G though.

I have checked on a few different devices at different times and it is varying from 4 to 10. The Samsung Smart TV is still not connecting. However I have connected via firestick which is working fine? I spent literally hours on the phone to Samsung going through all sorts of problem solving and their final conclusion was that the Internet was too slow.
I also want to understand why my hub is flashing green?
