5gee smart hun contract end

My 18 month contract with 5g smart hub is coming to an end.

Once this ends, can I just purchase a month to month sim with data and use it in place of the old sim?

I don’t want to get into another 18 month contract as I will be moving property soon and returning to fibre.

@paulthomp3 : These mobile contracts don't just end, just the min. term expires. They are not fixed term contracts. After the min. term they just carry on at the same price on a rolling 30-days' notice basis until you explicitly cancel, upgrade or port your no. away. There will however be a 10% discount after 3 months.

So you should be able to continue with your existing SIM with your usual monthly data. What does it give you at the mo'?

It was 55 a month for unlimited data but just went up to 62.90 a couple of months ago and I’m not willing to continue paying that.

You could cancel that contract once it reaches its min. term & then use it with any data SIM. Have a look at prepaid Connected Data SIMs on Amazon (EE don't sell them directly) as well as EE's SIM-Only, some of which offer unlimited data..

I didn’t know about these prepaid sims. Looks like that’s probably my best option.

Thanks!

Pre Paid Data Sims are a good option if you can afford the Upfront Costs, Ive heard some good feedback on the Scancom EE Data Sims, ie, here -

https://www.scancom.co.uk/products/rural-broadband-data-sim-ee-prepaid?variant=42609488560304

But please shop around to find your suited requirements.

If you want to stay directly with EE you could look at EE Shop and search for Pay Monthly UL Data Sim Only, you could also look at EE Mobile Phones Sims Only with UL Data, there's no reason why you cant use a Phone Sim in your Router for Data Only usage and it can sometimes work out a bit cheaper.

Note All new Unlimited Data Plans on the EE Network come with a Data FUP which is normally around 600gb pm.

If it was me, I might be a bit cheeky and ring up EE Customer Services (Option-, thinking of Leaving Us) on 0800 956 6000 and see what the CS Team cam do for you or offer you as an existing Customer that's thinking of leaving. !)
