4G Wifi Mini

Hi.  I have a 4G Mini Wifi which I no longer use.  If I wanted to gift it to a friend or sell it, do I sell it with the sim card or without?  What information must I give to the recipient?  Thanks!

I can't see any plans.   I don't have a package.  There is a system error at the moment so I can't see anything!

Hi @Judy62,

Please get in touch with Customer Care so a member of the team can take a quick look at your account.

They'll be happy to help. 🙂

If you're on contract you will be paying for the SIM plan monthly unless you cancel it. If you're on PAYG you can give the SIM to the buyer but if you've set up a direct card payment for it you would need to cancel that.

You need to check your bank statement whether a DD is going out each month or check your credit/debit card statement to see if a payment to EE is going out each month.

I only have one direct debit to EE on my statement and that is for my phone.  I assume that if I were paying for the mini that it would appear separately?

Hi @Judy62,

No, all plans on your account are paid via the same direct debit.

Did you manage to access your bill or get in touch with Customer Care?

James

I got in touch with Customer Care and reset my password.   I then was able to access my bill.  There is nothing to indicate that I'm paying for anything other than the standard monthly charge.

Hi @Judy62,

Did the agent you spoke to have a look to see if they could locate your 4GEE WiFi plan?

If there is only one mobile number on your bill, it's most likely a pay as you go device.

No, he didn't.  However, I had been waiting ages and had to cut it short once I got back into my account.  There is only 1 mobile number on the bill.  Is there anything else I should check before selling it?

Yes, as I said if it's PAYG you should check if you've set up a direct card payment for it & check your credit/debit card statement to see if a payment to EE is going out each month.
