4G Router

Hi

Since having an EE 4G Router, I havent been able to back up my files to Curry's Cloud.

Since having contact with Curry's Technical Staff, This is what I have received from them:

4G router is not communicating properly with Currys Cloud (Livedrive)
server for reasons unknown and to do with comms protocols as it will connect with the
webserver but not via cloud-client app.    Please check any blocks or restrictions on this account

Can anyone help please?

Hi @MollyC.

Does the 4G Router work for general internet browsing and streaming?

Are you able to make this kind of backup on other devices?

Jon

Hi Jon_K

The 4G router is okay for browsing etc. but not compatible with Curry's Cloud back up.  As it is for my desktop I cant complete the back up to my Curry's Cloud Back up account

Thanks @MollyC.

One of our community experts may be able to suggest a workaround for this which might help you.

As a Test, try switching the Router to 2/3G or 3G Only (in other words your switching 4G off) these settings should be found in the Admin Area of the Web UI when you log into the Routers Admin.

If this cures the issue, then its probably a APN Setting causing the Issue on 4G, my guess at this stage would be either IPV or Authentication Settings but one step at a time.

Thank you for your reply EssexBoyEE,   But not being that technical i have no idea how to do any of that 😞.  I did phone EE up and they said there was nothing they could do about it - Very helpful!!!

Well, its your call on what your next move is, but in order to see what's in the Cupboard you need to open the Door first 😉

I do appreciate your help, maybe you could explain to me what to do in laymans' terms please?

How do I log into -  log into the Routers Admin.
