TNT Sports/Discovery +/HBO

Just tried the new HBO stuff on the Freeview box and getting TNT 1234 but looks as if everything else has to be paid for and struggling to get proper info.

My TNT Sports on its own regularly drops out, always at the wrong time so I have been using it via Discovery + which has been much more robust.

With Discovery + we got various other channels but what do we get on HBO as the replacement for Discovery +?

There has been a lot of hype but I am thoroughly confused as I do not want by accident to subscribe to yet another outlet.

Hi @Markstaxi

You can still watch all your TNT Sports live streaming channels. You still get every TNT Sports channel that’s included in your plan. The only difference is the app you use to watch them.

Hi @mrstiggywnkle

The channels and streaming content depend on your package. This NOW on EE help page explains what is included with each package and how to access it.

The TV channels in the guide should be the same, and you'll be able to access them through the HBO Max app too.

I have signed into hbo with my Discovery+

and now says get access to sports, so what they say on the website is little rubbish

typical BT/EE

nothing works easy with this company

Thanks to responders. Going to be interesting in October, when contract is due for renewal, to see what everything I currently have costs as an "existing" customer, rather than a "new" customer! I suspect it will be bye bye EE.

Part of the ‘buying decision’ when I signed up for the TNT add on was the content available on Discovery+, however now I get less as HBO only hosts the TNT part.

So I pay the same but get way less, how is that fair?

Welcome to the Community, @GregTebb

I see where you're coming from with this one, but what's worth noting is that the TNT Sport add-on goes back to when this was the standalone BT Sport subscription.

When BT Sport became TNT, Discovery+ was the platform this was hosted on, and they opted to include all of their content as part of the subscription.

Now this has moved to HBO Max, this is a completely separate service with a totally different content library, and it's exclusively the Sport content included at present for EE subscribers.
