Had a call from 07973100194

I’ve just had a call from this number, he told me he was closing down a relative’s BT line who recently died. He said I had sent in an email to request this but I haven’t. He asked for my relative’s DOB which I provided but then he asked for my DOB which I thought was suspicious and when I questioned why he needed my DOB he got flustered and just said that’s all closed down now goodbye and ended the call quickly?? 
I’m very suspicious about this call.

You're replying to a three year old post, best to start a new one if it's been that long!

However, if you are called by anyone, and they ask for information and you aren't expecting a call, never give them the information. If you are suspicious, hang up, and call EE on a number listed on their web site.

Thanks for coming to the community.

That is a number that would come up when our contact centres call, but it does sound a little suspicious if they are asking for your details and you've not sent an initial request. It is possible that the number could have been spoofed.

If you have an account with EE, it may be best to give us a call as @chistery has mentioned to make check if there has been a call made to you.
