I already use Gamepass and have around 2 and a half years left to go. and I wanna ask, what happens if I add the 6 month gamepass to my account? does it just add on to the end of the gamepass I currently have or do I lose the 2 and a half years which gets replaced with the 6 months,
and additionally what happens if I use a gamepass code to add gamepass credit? I get gifted some every year by family and friends and don't wanna tell folk they need to buy me something else.

Same as you, I've got 6 months free GPU with our new EE Fibre contract and I also have 2 years pre-paid GPU left on my Xbox account.
When I got 6 months free GPU with BT Fibre a couple of years ago it did stack with the pre-paid subscription I still had left on my account, but on the actual Xbox website it was showing my subscription was only ever a month at a time.
Even worse was that I had an absolute nightmare getting back control the GPU billing of my Xbox Account when both the BT Freebie and the pre-paid subscription I still had finally expired. Believe me when I say it took a good couple of months and countless calls to an infinite amount of various BT Customer Service Agents to wrestle it back off them. In the end it took some back office team up in Newcastle to sort it out for me.
As for my current subscription, I was really fortunate to be able to grab 3 years Gold and convert it to 3 years GPU with a month's GPU free trial before Microsoft shut that hack down around this time last year so I'm good till the 3rd of June 2026.
With having so much subscription left to run and that shocking BT experience I had it really is a case of once bitten twice shy so have decided not to take the free 6 months EE are offering.
