Xbox Game Pass Ultimate inclusive extra isn't working

Hi,

My plan has recently changed to a SIM only, with the inclusive extra of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. It's worth noting on my previous plan I also had Xbox Game Pass Ultimate as an inclusive extra. However, somewhere in the changeover to SIM only, the game pass isn't working on my console anymore.

When I go to Inclusive Extras, on my EE app, it says Xbox Game Pass ultimate is there. When I go to my 'subscriptions' on my xbox console, it says Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is 'Active' purchased from 'BT/EE' - so things should be working.. but they aren't.

Unlike last time on my original plan 2 years ago, I seemed to remember receiving a redeem code through a text message. This time around I haven't received one.

I read somewhere I should contact EE and say that "The licence is not activating for multiplayer or Game Pass access. Can you refresh the entitlement on your side?" is this such a thing? or can you force a redeem code to be sent to me please?

Im logged in to the correct account on xbox. my NAT type is open. The xbox is set to my home xbox. I've also tried to force my own licence refresh my fully powering down my console, unplugging it from the wall for 30 seconds, and plugging it back in, in the hope this refreshed the licence check servers - and still nothing.

Please help! 🙂

Hi @XIIConscious 

If you still have Xbox as an inclusive extra on your new SIMONLY plan, go to Activate Xbox via your mobile phone (switch WIFI to OFF, so that you are connected to the internet via Mobile Data) and it will link you to the Microsoft website, sign in with your Xbox account and it should automatically reconnect. 

If this still doesn't work, you may need to contact Microsoft directly.

Hi, my situation is exactly the same as of today, but I changed to SIM only in November still had Game Pass as an add on and today on the Xbox it says the subscription is active. I suspect it is due to the price increase that is coming on the 18th of this month for game pass. I suspect Game Pass was meant to be removed when I went SIM only, I thought it would have, my SIM only deal said nothing about game pass. I think a lot of people will be loosing  their game pass access in the coming days. I did try contacting EE through the app, but the bot I was talking to could not go any further and told me to call 150 and speak to someone. I have not done that yet.

I tried your suggestion, I get as far as getting a text code and it says I have nothing to activate. I logged onto the Xbox website for help and it suggested I log into Xbox on the PC. On the PC and it does now say my Ultimate Game Pass has expired today.

Is your new plan one that includes Inclusive extras, too?

You may need to opt back into Game Pass again by sending PICK to 150, then once this is sorted you can visit the link @Ali_A shared 😊
