Have you ordered a PS5? Here's what to expect

**UPDATED** We've added some extra information to cover some more frequently asked questions

You can order accessories on Add To Plan, which lets you buy new kit, and spreads the cost across your monthly EE bills over the next 11 months. It doesn’t cost you any more – there are no fees and no interest, and it’s not just for pay monthly mobile plans either. 4GEE WiFi and tablet plan users can benefit too.

Find out more about Add To Plan >

Here’s some helpful information of what to expect if you ordered one.

The PS5 is showing as out of stock, what should I do?

When the PS5 is out of stock, you can register here to get notified when it is available to order again.

Am I eligible?

You are able to order if you are an existing EE customer within the first 17 months of your contract and are eligible to take Add to Plan (please note, not available at time of upgrade).

Can I buy over the phone?

No, the PS5 is only available to buy online through the online shop

How do I know my order has been successful?

When you place your order online you will see an on-screen message like the one below with an xko number

You will also get an email about your order which will look like the below

If there are any problems with your order you will be contacted directly.

You will be kept up to date with your order by regular weekly messages, no need to call.

When will my £10 upfront payment be taken?

Your payment will not be taken straight away, so no need to check your bank account. It will be taken when your PS5 order is being processed on your account.

Will you be selling accessories or games?

Yes, we are selling various packages of games, controllers and consoles.

How will I find out about my delivery details?

You will get free Monday to Friday delivery as standard on all online orders and will receive a notification when it is out for delivery.

DPD – our courier partner, will send you a text the day before your EE order arrives to confirm delivery for the following day. The message will also include options to change and track your parcel on DPD’s website.

A further message will be sent on the day of delivery advising the 1 hour slot in which your delivery will be attempted, again this message will include options to change and track your parcel.

What if I want to cancel my order?

If you wish to cancel your order, please call us on 150 to do so.

Are you excited about getting your hands on one?

I do agree but was just quoting what was in the T & C as it should be made clearer before trying to ATP. In my opinion as long as you are in a contract you shouldn’t be penalised.

Hopefully as it let us do it they’ll honour it, but who knows. If they overpromised it would be an easy way to cut orders as in the t&c’s. If it isn’t I’ll definitely be moving on once my contract is over though as the the t&c’s weren’t clear and it allowed me to purchase. I guess we can only hope guys fingers crossed

@JakeN1994 If you go to your EE account, go to add to plan page and then check your basket (when basket is empty) - does it say you can “add up to 1 accessories to your plan”?

On my homepage my notification is to add an Apple Watch for £28/month.

If I go to the add one page It says add accessories:

‘A world of entertainment awaits at home

  • add up to three products to your plan
  • spread the payments over 11 months
  • no fees, no interest - no extra cost’

Then there is 123 accessories to choose from. If I add one it does have T&C’s and says not available for sim only, but still lets me add it and pay for it.

I guess this morning I just have just missed these t&s’s because I was in a rush to get the order complete.

Having seen this I am no longer hopeful but who knows what could happen perhaps they’ll allow it as they allowed the purchase/order request.

Fingers crossed

@Rich28 Yes I do see the "You can add up to 1 accessories on your current plan.", I also see the AD on my homepage to add an add-on and spread the cost.

So for me, this does seem like misleading if SimOnly should actually be excluded.

Yes, looks like all the terms / documentation on website say that you can’t add to plan with SIM only. But you’ll still get content promoting add to plan on your SIM only account and can place an order which seems very backwards.

Good luck on your order, fingers crossed for you.

@JakeN1994 I'm now hoping the same thing as I'm in the same situ. Here's hoping ey!

I have also ordered the PS5 on add to plan. On my lead line I’m on Sim Only but on my other line I have a 24 month pay monthly line still within the first 17 months.

I’m worried EE may cancel my order as it didn’t give me the option to allocate the add to plan to my pay monthly line.

On my order it seems to have automatically went against my lead line which is currently on a Sim Only contract.

Will EE realise I’m eligible due to my other line or will this be cancelled ?

Thanks.

If there is a confirmation tomorrow (which I am reaaaally hoping for myself) it will likely come in the mid-afternoon based on what happened with the Xbox.

Dont forget tomorrow is a full working day for the folks at EE - who are probably working pretty damn hard to get this sorted asap right now 🙂
