Have you ordered a PS5? Here's what to expect

**UPDATED** We've added some extra information to cover some more frequently asked questions

 

You can order accessories on Add To Plan, which lets you buy new kit, and spreads the cost across your monthly EE bills over the next 11 months. It doesn’t cost you any more – there are no fees and no interest, and it’s not just for pay monthly mobile plans either. 4GEE WiFi and tablet plan users can benefit too.

Here’s some helpful information of what to expect if you ordered one.

 

 

The PS5 is showing as out of stock, what should I do?


When the PS5 is out of stock, you can register here to get notified when it is available to order again.



Am I eligible?


You are able to order if you are an existing EE customer within the first 17 months of your contract and are eligible to take Add to Plan (please note, not available at time of upgrade).

 

 

Can I buy over the phone?


No, the PS5 is only available to buy online through the online shop

 

 

How do I know my order has been successful?


When you place your order online you will see an on-screen message like the one below with an xko number

You will also get an email about your order which will look like the below

If there are any problems with your order you will be contacted directly.


You will be kept up to date with your order by regular weekly messages, no need to call.

 

 

When will my £10 upfront payment be taken?


Your payment will not be taken straight away, so no need to check your bank account. It will be taken when your PS5 order is being processed on your account.

 

 

Will you be selling accessories or games?


Yes, we are selling various packages of games, controllers and consoles.

 

 

How will I find out about my delivery details?

 

You will get free Monday to Friday delivery as standard on all online orders and will receive a notification when it is out for delivery.

 

DPD – our courier partner, will send you a text the day before your EE order arrives to confirm delivery for the following day. The message will also include options to change and track your parcel on DPD’s website.

 

A further message will be sent on the day of delivery advising the 1 hour slot in which your delivery will be attempted, again this message will include options to change and track your parcel.

 

 

What if I want to cancel my order?


If you wish to cancel your order, please call us on 150 to do so.

I just spoke on live chat and they said I will get mine next Thursday.

@bisko I ordered one yesterday thru EE and I received a “about your order” confirmation straight away n then a “your PS5 order “ and the money has been taken,  Did they give you an XKO number ? Or an order number 

@Teemeans yes after checkout but no email after or text or £10 deposit. However they confirmed in chat they have my order and should come before 15th december. Im just worried as it seems its only me who have this situatuon

Afternoon all, I must say there seems to be alot on here that look like they are about to loose there minds....

 

Ee maybe could have handled this a little better, but they have done nothing wrong, we were all advised it would be here by the 15th December.. I ordered a ps5 plus extra controller, its coming tomorrow. But I just wanted too say if you have had 10 taken, just sit tight, the staff can only tell you what they know and it will be by the 15th or date given on 2nd wave. If for any reason you don't get it 15th latest then I'd get it, but please don't have a go at the staff or keep ringing, be thankful you have one on order there are 100s that won't get one full stop. Communication has not been great but equally thay have advised 15th latest. Just chill and look forward too it. Best wishes.

Ordered on 19th @ 0824 controller bundle, still nothing. Phoned them up, same response, it's an open order. EE is an utter shambles. So glad I got an order in with Smyths yesterday, I have faith in them unlike EE who couldn't organise anything. 

For those with a DPD notification - on the tracking bit on the app, how long was the time between DPD receiving details of the order and the next update?

@bisko theyll email when they’ve processed your order there’s probably loads of people still waiting for there’s to be processed and the funds should be taken when this is done. They can manually process your order but you have to call them .

I think everyone's orders from the 19 November which were approved, confirmed and processed will get theirs by 15th December as promised

 

Console only - dispatched 27 November

Console + controller - dispatched 4 December

Console + controller + PS Plus - dispatched by 11 December (most likely)

Anyone else in the same boat? I ordered at 08:19 on the 19th. Received an email confirming the order but no XKO number. I have since rang and got that but I haven’t received anything since, including the texts that some people got in the week. 

I rang up earlier and they say it’s still an open order with no stock allocated. I ordered the controller bundle. 

I understand that the expectation was before the 15th but the communication has been sub par
