Have you ordered a PS5? Here's what to expect

**UPDATED** We've added some extra information to cover some more frequently asked questions

 

You can order accessories on Add To Plan, which lets you buy new kit, and spreads the cost across your monthly EE bills over the next 11 months. It doesn’t cost you any more – there are no fees and no interest, and it’s not just for pay monthly mobile plans either. 4GEE WiFi and tablet plan users can benefit too.

Here’s some helpful information of what to expect if you ordered one.

 

 

The PS5 is showing as out of stock, what should I do?


When the PS5 is out of stock, you can register here to get notified when it is available to order again.



Am I eligible?


You are able to order if you are an existing EE customer within the first 17 months of your contract and are eligible to take Add to Plan (please note, not available at time of upgrade).

 

 

Can I buy over the phone?


No, the PS5 is only available to buy online through the online shop

 

 

How do I know my order has been successful?


When you place your order online you will see an on-screen message like the one below with an xko number

If there are any problems with your order you will be contacted directly.


You will be kept up to date with your order by regular weekly messages, no need to call.

 

 

When will my £10 upfront payment be taken?


Your payment will not be taken straight away, so no need to check your bank account. It will be taken when your PS5 order is being processed on your account.

 

 

Will you be selling accessories or games?


Yes, we are selling various packages of games, controllers and consoles.

 

 

How will I find out about my delivery details?

 

You will get free Monday to Friday delivery as standard on all online orders and will receive a notification when it is out for delivery.

 

DPD – our courier partner, will send you a text the day before your EE order arrives to confirm delivery for the following day. The message will also include options to change and track your parcel on DPD’s website.

 

A further message will be sent on the day of delivery advising the 1 hour slot in which your delivery will be attempted, again this message will include options to change and track your parcel.

 

 

What if I want to cancel my order?


If you wish to cancel your order, please call us on 150 to do so.

@H_R786 I get this, I do, but the way these consoles are shipped aren't based on who bought what and if they were applicable or not, as soon as SIMo plans are accepted, they're placed in the same pool as everyone else, to hold them back would probably slow the process down. It's all lucked based. Consoles are rolling out now, that's what people need to focus on, not who got what, what bundle they bought, if they were applicable or not etc. 

 

Everyone will get there's in time.

My mate had add to plan appear yesterday, handset contract and console only and its arrived today with nothing from dpd and nothing on dpd app!

Thats what they said to me yesterday and that i would get an automated email from EE once it had be packed and then it would be in DPD hands, they said it would be in the next 24 hours... 

 

it has been over 24 hours now though 

Nice post. I was ordered and paid up and confirmation email at 8.14 on the 19th.

 

Good that people are getting them and I ordered the bundle one as didn’t bother scrolling down for the others. Few weeks before the 15th December so hopefully this week and next see everyone get deliveries. Wanna get it wrapped up for the boy 🙂

So far today people with bundles have been told 

1- controllers out of stock, new delivery Thursday 

2- controllers have arrived and bundles are getting packaged

3- expect it by the 15th dec.

 

how can we not have the true facts about whether they have controllers, it’s a simple fact to communicate surely?

Nothing mentioned on live chat today about out of stock they said there is a delay in confirmations they are going to push mine forward so I get a text about my order as I haven’t heard anything. Delivery team will be in contact by 7/12 mines a extra controlller and the 12 months pass

I can assure you I'm pretty certain he got it all up on the computer about the controllers not I  stock then checked the system again and they'd just arrived then got put through to customer care and she literally mirrored what he said. I'm sure by Monday we will be getting them. I presume DPD only deliver on Saturdays and dont collect as they'd have to stock everything for a further day. I think sunday night we will get notifications Sunday for Monday delivery. They'll pack them up over the weekend

It comes down to management not knowing or not wishing to update us. The phone agents can only do what they are allowed to, and I have no problems with them. I have had good dealings with them for years. 

management however need to realise the value of a gesture of goodwill and decency to just letting us know good or bad what the situation is. There’s no value to keeping people guessing. The phone lines have been hammered, people on here are have been made nervous again by how orders have been dispatched.

 

As a long time customer it’s these issues that directly impact my decisions in staying with a company. It’s not how they handle the easy times, it’s how they handle the tough times like these. My two cents worth anyway.

Every time I visit this forum I tend to search @EE PS5 on twitter to get a different idea of what's going on and some people have reported getting their order cancelled TODAY. I will be gutted!
