Have you ordered a PS5? Here's what to expect

**UPDATED** We've added some extra information to cover some more frequently asked questions

 

You can order accessories on Add To Plan, which lets you buy new kit, and spreads the cost across your monthly EE bills over the next 11 months. It doesn’t cost you any more – there are no fees and no interest, and it’s not just for pay monthly mobile plans either. 4GEE WiFi and tablet plan users can benefit too.

Here’s some helpful information of what to expect if you ordered one.

 

 

The PS5 is showing as out of stock, what should I do?


When the PS5 is out of stock, you can register here to get notified when it is available to order again.



Am I eligible?


You are able to order if you are an existing EE customer within the first 17 months of your contract and are eligible to take Add to Plan (please note, not available at time of upgrade).

 

 

Can I buy over the phone?


No, the PS5 is only available to buy online through the online shop

 

 

How do I know my order has been successful?


When you place your order online you will see an on-screen message like the one below with an xko number

You will also get an email about your order which will look like the below

If there are any problems with your order you will be contacted directly.


You will be kept up to date with your order by regular weekly messages, no need to call.

 

 

When will my £10 upfront payment be taken?


Your payment will not be taken straight away, so no need to check your bank account. It will be taken when your PS5 order is being processed on your account.

 

 

Will you be selling accessories or games?


Yes, we are selling various packages of games, controllers and consoles.

 

 

How will I find out about my delivery details?

 

You will get free Monday to Friday delivery as standard on all online orders and will receive a notification when it is out for delivery.

 

DPD – our courier partner, will send you a text the day before your EE order arrives to confirm delivery for the following day. The message will also include options to change and track your parcel on DPD’s website.

 

A further message will be sent on the day of delivery advising the 1 hour slot in which your delivery will be attempted, again this message will include options to change and track your parcel.

 

 

What if I want to cancel my order?


If you wish to cancel your order, please call us on 150 to do so.

So do they actually have the stock ?? .. Reading between the lines  from what a few people on this page have said "there has been a delay " ... and also " an unexpected delay due to uncontaminating them"  ... ???  Either way an update would be nice EE 🙂

Mixed information as per my earlier message I’ve been told a by a couple of CS agents that they have the stock in the warehouse and other accounts have also said that CS agents have told them the same. It’s all very mixed and confusing information which is exactly why EE need to clarify what exactly is happening. I wouldn’t mind the wait if all the agents gave the same answer but they don’t.

This is it, so many mixed messages.

 

Yes they have stock and will receive soon

 

Then no we have never had stock

 

Then we won't get it till next year

 

The other thing is I made and order - all eligible and paid the £10 but after 3 days nothing left my account. I called and they said the card i used was out if date ? It wasn't it was valid till end of next year. And he said he would add it to my bill.

 

 

Spoke to my friend who said make sure he had. I called up and he hadn't added it to my next bill but my order apparently processed. So I payed the £10 there and then. I asked if this had effected my order and she said no as it was slrocessed even without the £10 - this was Wednesday just gone.

But I had no communication about this I just assumed the advisor would have added it like he said he would but he didn't.

 

The only thing that has been asked the same with ALL communication from advisers is that they asked if I wanted to cancel.

Food for thought,

 

How do we know that people already haven't had an order? They wouldn't come on here to a thread about the PS5 if they had one? this is the first time ive ever come on here and ive had a few things from add to plan in the past......

@Dave_Mac That's actually a very good point.

 

That being said...EE could still offer an update stating something along the lines of: they have received a shipment from their supplier & these have been sent out to the first round of customers. If you have not had contact from DPD, then still expect your delivery before the 15th.

 

This alone would put a lot of people's minds at ease.

@dearlyphoto to get info because we were told weekly updates 

Me and my wife both ordered ps5 from ee she was just told on the phone hers has been cancelled and they refunded the £10 thats why she paid £10 less for ger bill, but yday was told she was getting one, i just spoke to them and she told me i was def getting one before xmas, i do not believe i will get one this has turned into a shambles
