**UPDATED** We've added some extra information to cover some more frequently asked questions

You can order accessories on Add To Plan, which lets you buy new kit, and spreads the cost across your monthly EE bills over the next 11 months. It doesn’t cost you any more – there are no fees and no interest, and it’s not just for pay monthly mobile plans either. 4GEE WiFi and tablet plan users can benefit too.

Find out more about Add To Plan >

Here’s some helpful information of what to expect if you ordered one.

The PS5 is showing as out of stock, what should I do?

When the PS5 is out of stock, you can register here to get notified when it is available to order again.

Am I eligible?

You are able to order if you are an existing EE customer within the first 17 months of your contract and are eligible to take Add to Plan (please note, not available at time of upgrade).

Can I buy over the phone?

No, the PS5 is only available to buy online through the online shop

How do I know my order has been successful?

When you place your order online you will see an on-screen message like the one below with an xko number

You will also get an email about your order which will look like the below

If there are any problems with your order you will be contacted directly.

You will be kept up to date with your order by regular weekly messages, no need to call.

When will my £10 upfront payment be taken?

Your payment will not be taken straight away, so no need to check your bank account. It will be taken when your PS5 order is being processed on your account.

Will you be selling accessories or games?

Yes, we are selling various packages of games, controllers and consoles.

How will I find out about my delivery details?

You will get free Monday to Friday delivery as standard on all online orders and will receive a notification when it is out for delivery.

DPD – our courier partner, will send you a text the day before your EE order arrives to confirm delivery for the following day. The message will also include options to change and track your parcel on DPD’s website.

A further message will be sent on the day of delivery advising the 1 hour slot in which your delivery will be attempted, again this message will include options to change and track your parcel.

What if I want to cancel my order?

If you wish to cancel your order, please call us on 150 to do so.

Are you excited about getting your hands on one?

Just here to check in on everyone's meltdowns. Still going. Keep it up.

Whilst you're at it, keep calling the customer service department, digital sales team and live chat please. That's also a very entertaining read.

@beckyt121 what's the truth then? They should just come in and leave a comment 🤔 we  never had our 'weekly update' for last week!

Know one will post from Higher up because there is no stock so there is no news  !

if they had stock ect they would send out a clear update saying your order will be shipped this week or today ect

@Ashmc Well we know that’s not true as loads of people received consoles on Saturday without any updates from EE, some people even reported receiving their consoles this weekend despite having no notifications from either EE or DPD.

Sounds like you are being overly pessimistic for the sake of it

@BomagJJ I agree. I only rang them because I didn't know about the SIM only issue (it was advertised to me without ts&cs in the My Offers area) until I logged onto the forum. Got told my order had been cancelled but when I said some SIM only customers have had confirmation messages they said "I wouldn't trust people on the forum"

I'm just a bit of a lurker now haha waiting to see what happens with it all.

@Ashmc I'd 100% believe that if console only customers weren't told there was no stock but then all of a sudden received DPD notifications

I got told on live chat then that they're sending them out today and tomorrow but you never know what's true as I've been told different all the time!

Regarding headphones:

Steelseries have a great range of headphones, however with some caveats.

The wireless Arctis Pro's are best used with the GameDAC to give you the best quality sound, however the PS5 doesn't have an optical out connector.

Astro have made a HDMI-2.1 combatable optical out splitter, but its constantly sold out. This, connected to the gameDAC is probably the best headphone sound you can get out of a PS5

https://www.astrogaming.com/en-gb/products/accessories/cable-adapters/hdmi-adapter-for-playstation-5...

Steelseries also make the Arctis 7 and 9. The 7's are currently on sale at Currys for £99, and still offer exceptional sound, without some of the features of the Pro or 9. For the price range, and battery life, these are in a very good place!

For me personally, I am looking for a headset I can also connect to my phone for Discord, which the 7 doesn't offer - but its a fecking cracking bargin.

The other option you have is the 3.5mm jack on the controller, which due to the controllers better bluetooth support, is supposed to bring a much better quality of sound than the PS4's 3.5mm jack on the controller. I'm planning to use my Sennheiser Game ONE's this way, until the Arctis Pro/9 is reduced in price.

In addition, because there is a mic built into the controller itself, you can plug a pair of Sennheiser/Bayerdynamic headphones in, even if they don't have a microphone. I dont think the controller is strong enough to drive studio reference gear, but regular consumer hardware it will be excellent at.

(Authough I don't have my PS5 yet to confirm how good/bad the controllers 3.5mm jack is)

Ironic that customer services are calling people liars when people are just relaying what they have been told.
