Have you ordered a PS5? Here's what to expect

You can order accessories on Add To Plan, which lets you buy new kit, and spreads the cost across your monthly EE bills over the next 11 months. It doesn’t cost you any more – there are no fees and no interest, and it’s not just for pay monthly mobile plans either. 4GEE WiFi and tablet plan users can benefit too.

Here’s some helpful information of what to expect if you ordered one.

 

 

The PS5 is showing as out of stock, what should I do?

When the PS5 is out of stock, you can register here to get notified when it is available to order again.

Am I eligible?

You are able to order if you are an existing EE customer within the first 17 months of your contract and are eligible to take Add to Plan (please note, not available at time of upgrade).

Can I buy over the phone?

No, the PS5 is only available to buy online through the online shop

How do I know my order has been successful?

When you place your order online you will see an on-screen message like the one below with an xko number

You will also get an email about your order which will look like the below

If there are any problems with your order you will be contacted directly.

You will be kept up to date with your order by regular weekly messages, no need to call.

When will my £10 upfront payment be taken?

Your payment will not be taken straight away, so no need to check your bank account. It will be taken when your PS5 order is being processed on your account.

Will you be selling accessories or games?

Yes, we are selling various packages of games, controllers and consoles.

How will I find out about my delivery details?

You will get free Monday to Friday delivery as standard on all online orders and will receive a notification when it is out for delivery.

DPD – our courier partner, will send you a text the day before your EE order arrives to confirm delivery for the following day. The message will also include options to change and track your parcel on DPD’s website.

A further message will be sent on the day of delivery advising the 1 hour slot in which your delivery will be attempted, again this message will include options to change and track your parcel.

What if I want to cancel my order?

If you wish to cancel your order, please call us on 150 to do so.

@Lumleyhtc Interested to know what makes you think deliveries will be tomorrow? I mean I hope you’re right I’m desperate to get mine but I just can’t see it happening myself. Why wouldn’t they have gone out yesterday for delivery today if the console only orders went out on Friday?

@Luke891  yes I am I order the ps5 with extra controller plus 12 month.. I was told today the first dispatch hasn't been fulfilled yet and I would be gettin mine this week.. so I hope this helps a bit

@Joshboy781 Yeah I agree, think Friday is best case scenario for us bundle lot now. Wouldn’t be surprised if I’m waiting till a week on Friday considering I got the extra pad and the ps+, might be that just the console and control bundles go out next week

I spoke to EE yesterday got through to someone and for once he talked me through the system confirmed what was happening I asked weather the bundle stock is due in or set aside he said its allocated to you and waiting on a controller he then checked the system one last time before handing me over to customer care and said they've literally just came in however he couldn't say weather theres enough controllers to fulfil all orders but the rest would be in Thursday. He also told me that all non bundles have now left the warehouse I didn't even ask the question. I then spoke to customer care and they mirrored what he said. About the stock and that they've gotta put them all together before dispatch.

I mean what @Lumleyhtc is saying ties up with what I was told over the phone aswell. My order is just waiting for DPD to collect (bundle, 8:30am).

I think what is likely, is that EE received it's stock late Friday afternoon, and rushed to ship as many consoles as possible as fast as possible - i.e. console only. DPD will collect from EE at set times during the day - so EE have deadlines to hit.

Take the console, label it, send it - the fastest thing they could do.

That could very reasonably mean that they were packing bundles Friday/Saturday, and all our consoles and controllers are packaged up and ready to be sent today.

Like we've all said, we have *no* idea. Try to hold off your pessimism till Monday at least, when it will be clear who did and did not receive first wave consoles.
