Have you ordered a PS5? Here's what to expect

**UPDATED** We've added some extra information to cover some more frequently asked questions

 

You can order accessories on Add To Plan, which lets you buy new kit, and spreads the cost across your monthly EE bills over the next 11 months. It doesn’t cost you any more – there are no fees and no interest, and it’s not just for pay monthly mobile plans either. 4GEE WiFi and tablet plan users can benefit too.

Here’s some helpful information of what to expect if you ordered one.

 

 

The PS5 is showing as out of stock, what should I do?


When the PS5 is out of stock, you can register here to get notified when it is available to order again.



Am I eligible?


You are able to order if you are an existing EE customer within the first 17 months of your contract and are eligible to take Add to Plan (please note, not available at time of upgrade).

 

 

Can I buy over the phone?


No, the PS5 is only available to buy online through the online shop

 

 

How do I know my order has been successful?


When you place your order online you will see an on-screen message like the one below with an xko number

If there are any problems with your order you will be contacted directly.


You will be kept up to date with your order by regular weekly messages, no need to call.

 

 

When will my £10 upfront payment be taken?


Your payment will not be taken straight away, so no need to check your bank account. It will be taken when your PS5 order is being processed on your account.

 

 

Will you be selling accessories or games?


Yes, we are selling various packages of games, controllers and consoles.

 

 

How will I find out about my delivery details?

 

You will get free Monday to Friday delivery as standard on all online orders and will receive a notification when it is out for delivery.

 

DPD – our courier partner, will send you a text the day before your EE order arrives to confirm delivery for the following day. The message will also include options to change and track your parcel on DPD’s website.

 

A further message will be sent on the day of delivery advising the 1 hour slot in which your delivery will be attempted, again this message will include options to change and track your parcel.

 

 

What if I want to cancel my order?


If you wish to cancel your order, please call us on 150 to do so.

@MikeD_89  What might happen is that they will ship the consoles they have to console-only customers and move those (like me) who ordered a bundle to the next ''wave''. 

 

It's hard to believe that they will just let the consoles lie in the warehouse awaiting controllers to get back in stock while people are raging at them.

I'm part of the 5% who hasn't had their stand alone dispatched yet. Live chat said Monday 30th it will be sent but after reading all 144 pages on here, I'm not sure when it will come!

If they can’t ship consoles without them being in the full bundle, and they’ve shipped all the console only orders then they will wait in the warehouse.

 

The console isn’t available to order anymore at the moment so the stock will sit their until the bundles are complete. That, or they put the PS5 back on to order again.

 

The main thing we don’t know is how many console only orders were sold and how many were bundles. For all we know they might have only sold 500 console only and the rest of the stock they’ve received is allocated to bundles. Nobody knows anything, it’s all just speculation and going off a handful of people from Twitter and this community.

@Kory1 I get what you're saying but surely a bunch of eligible customers being shafted is a lot worse? 

Thanks to EE for an amazing Saturday - loved setting up my new PS5 and getting into Astro, Fifa, and Black Ops. The console is incredible and service from EE has been second to none.

They could have our orders in the warehouse, ready to go and ship

 

We don't know.

Can’t fault them. I ordered at 08:16, having remembered talk about EE perhaps launching some as an add-to-plan option, it was purely a gamble leaving the other sites which were being hammered. Refreshed the EE page twice and it appeared. Got my order in right away and couldn’t believe me luck.

 

Sure, it said delivery by December 15th but I was just happy to have one allocated to me on an accepted order, as that was looking very unlikely on launch day absolutely everywhere else. The fact I got it on November 28th is just the icing on the cake.

 

EE made this easy for me and whilst I love the BT Sport, free Apple Music etc, this is easily the best perk I’ve had being their customer. Oh, and they’re letting me pay it off over 11 months hassle free with zero interest.

 

Anyone that has an order in with EE, just remember - you’re getting one. Probably before Christmas. That itself is amazing.

I totally agree with you on how easy it was.

 

In hindsight, I just wish I spent 10 seconds longer looking for the console only option.
