Hey, so me and my family are new EE customers, and are on the 500mbps package. The first issue that I came across was that the download speed test, speedtest.net, states that the download speed is 115mbps which not what we are paying for. I know to not expect the full 500 all the time but for it to be the same speed as our previous broadband provider is not good. Another issue is high latency and packet loss to the point where when I play Escape from Tarkov, I hit around 1500ms and get kicked. A test on bufferbloat yielded these results: https://www.waveform.com/tools/bufferbloat?test-id=d458d3fe-3561-44ef-8cb5-1fc6ae5e7945.
Thanks, Vincent.

Morning @Minihornet
Thanks for coming to the community.
Is this happening on more than one device?
What device are you using?
Speak soon 🙂
Leanne.

I'm on a desktop computer, and I'm not sure if it's happening on any other device as they are not used for gaming.

@Minihornet how is the desktop connected to the router? WiFi, wired, or wired via powerline connectors?
What spec is the desktop and its ethernet card (nic)?

Hey, it is connected by wifi and the wifi adapter is a TP-Link Archer T5E. I tested connecting my phone which has a good download speed and using USB Tethering instead of my WiFI, and the game seems to be running smoothly, so it is most likely my hardware issue.

Also, when downloading or uploading, ping spikes to around 1000ms

Currently, the speedtest on my mobile is 46mbps, and on my desktop, its 23mbps. I'm not sure what caused the horrific drop. My mobile earlier, at around 1745, was at 350mbps, and desktop at around 50-100mbps
