Cannot cancel game pass subscription

Hi, I'm having a similar issue to many others on here it seems.
I'd purchase an Xbox game pass code from Kinguin, I usually cancel before it runs out to avoid being charged for a new month, and then buy another code.
For whatever reason, this time I went to cancel and it says that the subscription is managed by EE/BT. Well, I've never had anything to do with EE nor BT and had to make an account just to try to find a solution.
Microsoft said the account holder of the EE/BT account only can cancel.
Why is this?
What can I do?
Has anyone else had any form of solution to this issue?

You've bought something that belongs to an EE/BT user. who's paying the subs. It's (almost) theft! You need to go back to the seller.
