Hi, someone has set up an EE account with my email. This happened probably a year ago & i was assured it was sorted.
I am an EE customer but dont use this email address with my EE account.
I dont believe its a scam, seems more like a typo. I could see orders placed including the persons delivery address & account number. I can see the persons name & we have the same initials (my email is my initials), so i think this is where the mistake has happened. I reported this to EE about a year ago & believed this was all sorted however i have just received a stack of new emails to see this person has changed their package & that new equipment is being sent out, I have even been able to track the order & see it was delivered as i have the order number. How can someone be with a company so long without realising the dont receive any emails or bills from the company?
I need someone from EE to get this sorted & i dont want to waste an hour of my life on the phone again.

Hi @nth1
Welcome to the EE Community,
you will need to contact customer services on 150 as there is no account access here on the Community.
Thanks
David

@nth1 : If someone used your email addy, even by typo mistake, when setting up an EE a/c you must have received the confirmation email at that time & OK'ed it.

So this is still going on, i am still receiving emails with personal details about someone else's account that is using my email.
I have even posted a letter to this person (Yes i know their address as got tracking information sent when they were getting new kit sent out) to let them know this was happening yet this is still going on. I am not wanting to spend more hours of my life on the phone to EE going round in circles any more, this is not my mess to sort out. I dont understand why someone at EE cant just contact the person by phone & ask them to confirm their email?

Hi, not sure how to see the PM.
anyway i spoke to EE today again & was told all traces of my email have been removed. Not holding my breath.
i have told them if it happens again i am going to start making changes to this person’s account. We will see what happens.

Had the same thing from an Austrian Mobile Operator. Took a while to convince them but got there in the end. And no I didn't click OK on any confirmation emails!
