I have had a request from EE to unlock my account as they are  unable to take a payment. I am wondering if it is genuine or a scam.

@080241  Can you access your account yourself?    And EE don’t need the account to be unlocked for a payment.     

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.
