Why is it almost every time I fire up your EE app it comes up saying it's down for last minute improvements and being improved. 

It's just a waste of space on my phone. I've cleared cache, I've deleted and reinstalled, all to no avail. You really need to address that issue.

Are you able to log in to your My EE online OK?

Yes via the EE website works it's just the app that seems constantly to be
having maintenance.
