Moved abroad & want to keep UK no

I’ve moved abroad for what is likely to be long-term, but would like to keep my UK number BUT be able to use with data abroad - is this possible?! I have a Swiss phone, can I somehow get a dual SIM on it? Or would the best thing be to cancel my (very expensive) EE contract, which is up for renewal now anyway, and buy a cheap gifgaff SIM or the like?

Hi @Copers38

Welcome to the community.

Which model of phone are you using at the moment? Some phones would support dual SIM, so you may be able to maintain your Swiss SIM and the EE number in the phone.

When you say you'd like to use data, do you mean from the EE SIM or your Swiss one?

@Copers38  You’ll not be able to change networks while abroad should you choose to.  the number migration will not happen over a roaming network.
You could change to a very cheap sim only contract on EE but you can not change it to a PAYG while abroad.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.
