On some occasions the app does go down in order for us to perform some essential maintenance and updates. I appreciate this can be inconvenient as it does mean you wont be able to use Wi Fi controls during that time, I am sorry about that.
If you regularly pause your son's connection around the same time, what you can do is setup a schedule so that the connection is paused automatically to help in cases where the app may be down.
