Link family members account

I have just added EE broadband to my account to benefit from EE one to save in my mobile plan.

When ordering the broadband customer service advised that my partner (who has his own mobile plan with EE) could be linked to me so he can benefit from the EE one deals now we have broadband but without having to transfer his number to my account.

They said this would have to be done myself through the app. Basically we would be linked but not under one account holder, still with our own mobile accounts, and still be able to pay separately etc.

They said they couldn't remember exactly how to do it but that it was in the app somewhere but I cant find anything anywhere.

Has anyone done this? Does anyone know how  i would do it? Thank you in advance.

Not possible! Not true!

The current owner, partner, of the contract wishing to be moved needs to call CS with both of you available on the line to effect a change of ownership. The other person, you, will need to pass a credit check. They will then be paying for that contract. If you can't do it together CS will give the current owner a password for the other to quote when they call.

Can't be done by any app!

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Home Broadband & Home Phone or Option 2 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

Thank you for your reply. 2 people at customer service have told me about this, apparently its very new and that's why no one knows how to do it lol.

Porkies! It's been around for years. It probably follows from legal requirements.

There was talk some time ago that EE One discounts would eventually be extended to the household on an address basis (in a similar way to how BT Best of Both discount used to operate) so I wonder if it is that which they mentioned?

If so I would've expected a better explanation of it than what was provided.

That sounds like it Matt. They did say they had training a while ago but its only just been released so they didnt remember exactly how to set it up only how to approve it on there side once you do it. Its a great idea so hoping I can figure it out and can share how to do it here for other people to benefit from it.

It might be way my better half has unlimited data on her account even though EE BB and my lines ( 3 of ) have unlimited data but are on my account.     She got this just after EE started offering unlimited data for having BB.    It’s not be only explanation I can think off.      It’s been around 18 months now.
