No, you can continue with PAYG & register it to MyEE.

Hi @jfostern,

Are you currently with another mobile network or an existing EE customer?

Hi @jfostern,

Yes, you can request a replacement SIM at ee.co.uk/app/order-sim.

Hope this helps. 🙂

Do I need to do this by calling or can I do it by messaging, from my EE webpage….having just registered for my EE.

Thanks Jim,…however I wasn’t wanting to replace my existing sim!

I’m about to buy a New phone, but before doing so I am wanting to determine how I would go about requesting sim, and transferring my number to New phone.

Hoped this could be done via myEE..

Hi @jfostern,

Your number is linked to your SIM card, rather than your handset.

If you purchase a new phone, you'd just need to pop your existing SIM card into it. If it isn't the correct size, you can order a replacement via the link I provided earlier.
