Incorrect mobile number listed under Contact on my account.

I've just moved from BT to EE and was given a PAC code to keep my own mobile no. However, my EE account lists the new mobile no they assigned temporarily as my contact and I can't edit that. Calling 150 is a waste of time because there is no menu choice for this  so I took pot-luck and opted for technical support. I hung up after a 30 minute wait. Is there a more efficient way to speak to these people?

Also, my wife's mobile now has scam protection and since it started, she's been inundated with phone calls from unknown callers! I thought this would prevent such activity but it's actually increased since scam protect began! Not happy!

Good afternoon @KStarling

Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Community!

You should absolutely be able to get your contact details updated from the temporary number when contacting our team, so I'm sorry to hear you've had some trouble getting through to someone.

If you get back in touch, and follow the options towards broadband and discussing your bill, this will pop you through to our customer care team that can help you get this sorted.

When it comes to the scam calls, Scam Guard can help identify if a caller is likely to be a scam, but it's not able to directly block them.

Scammers will regularly change the numbers that they call from, so if it's not a number previously flagged as a scam it can still come through unflagged.

You're not supposed to edit it. By giving your PAC from BT to EE it should port your no. & auto update it in your EE a/c within 1 working day of you using your EE SIM. Did you do this?

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

My own mobile number was transferred by EE last week but my EE personal account contact no still shows the temporary mobile number I'd initially been assigned, hence this post.

Thanks for you response, Peter_W. Will follow your advice and hopefully resolve this.
