Don't rely on the app. Go to the horse's mouth. Does it do the same in your online MyEE?

Go to Home > Data Remaining `> View full usage> Data gifting (box under Data Usage) > Gift Data

I believe I am on the latest version (5.6.2(123417) and the screen shot is from this version.
