Data gifting

Now the app has been updated when I am trying to gift data it no longer shows the names of the contacts just the numbers to gift to nor does it show how much data they have left like it did before. So I have to leave the app to go to my contacts and Check the 7 mobile numbers to see who’s number I need to gift to. I have to say I’m not keen on this update I think it’s made the app really complicated.

@emma65567  have you allowed the app to access your contacts as this will pull up the names on the My EE app. 

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

As per @Chris_B says you need to allow Contacts in Permissions under Settings, but I believe there is a second confirmation that is required to List the Contact Names within Gifting that needs to be confirmed (ticked).

From the Home Screen Go the Required Account Number / Mobile Plan / go down to Data Gifting / click on Gift your Data / Above the Gift From, you should see a tick box Slider 'Use Phone Contacts', Slide to the right / takes you to OPEN SETTINGS again / Permissions / Contacts / Allow / Go Back (Android Key) / Close App / Open App / Contacts should now be visible in the Gifting Section.

Good luck with it all as on My App the Gifting Freezes or tells you to come back latter, also seems EE Are Updating the App almost every Day now so keep the App up to Date.
