How does the EE app know, within the Shop-> Broadband , on this dashboard page, the physical address, it seems to be "looked up" and already filled in?

Deleted the EE app re-installed the app/ clear and crunched devices cookies and cache.

The address details are there.

Does the app use the stored card payment details from previous top ups or card details from subscription packs to look up the address?

Maybe that information is being pulled in from Google Play Store via the EE app; who knows!

Actually, maybe it links to the connectivity "Service status" in the app, in the sense that if there is an issue with your mobile signal service, it will report back for mobile connectivity issues(if any), and can locate an address/area.

That same address information is used as a look up for Home/FTTP Broadband services as a starting point to see what type of Home Broadband service is available or to start an order for Home/FTTP Broadband...

So as a simple test:

deleting the app again

enable mobile data (everything done via 4g/mobile data)

download the app again ; relogin and authenticate.

navigate to the same dashboard, (Shop -> Broadband)

Animation/cycling/lookup processing

Again the app uses the same address that is used against the registered debit card that's used for topup/subscription payment.

(If searching for a fixed line home broadband provider, you would put in the postcode on the provider's website and then look up the address (e.g. Plusnet, BT, EE, Vodafone etc), but here directly in the EE app, it seems "looked something up" and seems to have already filled in the postcode and address! (not sure if this is odd or expected ). Even on EE's main website, the broadband section, Broadband deals, it let's you fill in a postcode before the full address look up. The EE app seems to have already zeroed in to an exact address?!
