EE WiFi -no login portal

iPhone 13 has never been able to connect to EE WiFi. It receives a valid looking address but never triggers the captive login portal (tried captive.apple.com etc). I have tried various things including total removal of VPN, private address I /off and reset network setting but no joy. Suggestion is it is in a strange state at the EE end (note my iPad connects ok and my phone connects to other captive portals ok) Any idea on how to proceed ?

Hi @BobN27,

Thanks for visiting the EE Community

Once you have connected to an access point, have you tried manually loading the login portal at https://ee-wifi.ee.co.uk/public/ee to see if you can then login? Try another browser such as Chrome if you have an issue on Safari first, to confirm that's not causing any issues.

If you are still having issues doing that, it would be worth reaching out to the dedicated EE WiFi team to see if they have any guidance for this situation.

Hi @BobN27

By EE WiFi you mean home broadband or WiFi access points when out and about or on the London underground.

Thanks

Thanks for your reply. Should have been clearer - I am talking about EE (public) WiFi access points out and about. I am an EE Broadband customer   I have tried 2 different APs today. Didn't have any problem when accessing via BT.

Thanks.

I hadn't tried your suggestion but I had tried the usual neverssl.com etc. None work.
The problem is my phone never properly connects to the AP and the internet. Although in the WiFi page it looks connected to WiFi ( valid address etc) but there is no WiFi symbol at top right of the screen

Trying  to open any website just says no internet connection.

Thanks. Although it looks to be connected to EE WiFi (albeit without WiFi symbol showing top right). Trying any connection to website (tried the one you suggested too) just says I'm not connected to the internet. Will give the EeWifi team a call as you advise.
