Data gifting on apple phone with new app not working

I always share data with my son who works abroad but since the new EE app I can find the data sharing page and the app lets me switch between my son’s and my numbers in the ‘gift from’ drop down box but when I tap on the ‘select who needs data box’ nothing happens so I can’t gift him my data. I’m currently abroad on holiday so can’t call 150 and he’s about to run out of data, can anyone help me out?

I have the exact same issue. I’ve been trying to gift data for a few days and the box to select who to gift data to doesn’t work.

I logged in online in a web browser on my phone and once the screen loaded it was completely blank. Nothing is displaying at all. I tried this a few times and still the same thing happened. 

I will try on the computer and see what happens.

I had to online message EE customer service to transfer. They told me the app is new and they’re aware certain areas are not working but they are working on fixing these now, Not the best news but hopefully fixed soon.

No, it’s exactly the same. As far as I’m aware it looks like the new app simply redirects me online anyway?!  I’ve managed to transfer the data this month with the help of EE online message team but not liking the new app at all. It’s slow, clumsy and doesn’t work, which I’ve been told by EE they’re aware of! I await the promised app updates and fixes with baited breath…

Hi @Redzekey,

An app update that resolves the data gifting issue will be available very soon. In the meantime, gifting via My EE online should be working as normal.

Thanks for verifying the app will be updated soon. As for gifting data via MyEEonline that unfortunately doesn’t work for me anymore either when I use my apple phone in browser. I’ll try on my MacBook when I get back to the UK.
