I can no longer gift data either via the app or EE website - there's no option on either to do so. First time I've tried to do so for around a month.
Is there a known issue?

@ceegeema Is your app up to date ? And it’s definitely there on the new app

Yep - updated this and not there as an option. Also still not available on web.

I'd recommend speaking to our Mobile Care team to find out why this is. You should be able to gift data on both.
They'll also be able to manually gift the data for you this time.

Update: it turns out the reason I could no longer gift data is that customer services offered to 'upgrade' our plans to give us more fate but in doing so changed our sims to 'no frills' which cannot gift. Cust servs didn't tell me about this at the time. Also as I've techincally taken out a new contract I'm subject to EU roaming charges so am arguably worse off!
When I complained about it I was told nothing could be done for 30 days and I'd be called back. I later realised I had the right to cancel the new arrangement within 14 days which I've now been trying to do all week but anyone who can actually process this is completely uncontactable.
Very annoying.

That would explain it. For plans taken out after 17 August 2022, data gifting is only available on Essential, All Rounder and Full Works plans.
You're right, you have 14 days to change your mind if you have upgraded over the phone or website. Our Customer Services team should be able to process that for you.

But. @Christopher_G , nowhere on the EE pages is there a definition of the 'No Frills' plans or at least I can't find any.

The plan is offered at our discretion and all terms will be given at the time of the plan being offered. Data Gifting would only be available on the plans advised.
