Can’t link products

I joined EE today and made this account and activated my sim. When I try to link the products on the my EE it says “Check you’ve entered an 11 digit EE mobile number” I’m using the right number as I’m using it to text and call and I’ve tested it out so what’s the issue

Are you bringing in your number from another network? 
You may need to use your temporary EE number to register until your number has transferred over.

I did the port number and got the confirmation email it says it will take 2 working days. When I try to link products using the EE number using the card it says “check you’ve entered an 11 digit EE number”. When I use my old number it works but I don’t receive any verification codes or nothing. I can’t manually change my my new number back to the old one on IMessage so how am I supposed to verify

If your number has already ported over there is no need to use the old (temporary) number. 

If you are waiting for your Port to complete, it may be easier to link once the port has completed. 

Alternatively you can contact Customer Care team on 150 from your handset and a guide can manually link your products for you.
