App closed for the second night in a row, EE developers are amateurs 😡

What the hell is going on, the app has been down 2 nights  in a row, this is ridiculous beyond belief, like I keep saying I need to use the app to set limits on the devices in the house, it’s not acceptable to be unable to use it when I need to. The developers who maintain this app are useless, you would never catch Amazon or any of the other big companies shutting down for maintenance every night so there must be another way that doesn’t massively inconvenience users, the ee developers are amateurs and need to be replaced by developers who know what they are doing 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡@

Like I said, it happens way too often, it is extremely inconvenient, maintenance should all be done in one go to minimise inconvenience to customers and you should inform customers in advance when the app will be off so they can do what they need to do before the outage , not just close it down several nights a week. If other companies can do it, so can ee.
It’s not ok, I don’t care about your apology, it’s just lip service, you need to have more consideration for customers and if you keep on doing it without notice, I will take it up with the ceo.

Hi,
Thank you. Hopefully they will find a better way to manage their maintenance without severely impacting customers several times a week

@Julie-be  Have you not noticed what time this happens at ?   Have you thought it’s being done when it’ll cause the least disruption.  While it seems to be inconvenient for you as you are posting about this in the very early hours it’s not affecting the majority of customers because of what times EE take access to accounts of line.

Its much like when they do motorway maintenance you don’t much work happening during the day as they are working through the night because there are less cars on the road so is safer for the workers.    Its better for EE to do any maintenance work when less customers need account access because it’ll cause the least disruption.  Yes there will be some like you this will be an inconvenience for but it’s better to be inconvenient for some than all customers during day.

This is normal practice for production releases to choose a time when traffic is low and show outage page.

I have managed many releases in my professional life.

This can be minimised if EE will use Blue Green deployment.
