I've been with EE a long time as the account holder but the app is saying I'm not the account holder

You need to be set up as the Bill Payer under Account Settings > Manage Numbers

Did it originally say that you were the account holder and bill payer? Apparently these two mean totally different things! Who knew 🤷🏼♀️
