Thanks for getting back to me so quickly, the envelope icon has suddenly appeared after posting this message between the notification icon and my avatar but I assure you it wasn't there before and I've tried multiple browsers and devices!

@Hummy That does seem strange, that you did not see it before, that is how you can see private messages and reply to them, you are welcome, glad to help.
