Hi @rob95
Our customer service team over on 150 is open until 4pm today, so I'm not too sure why you're hearing this message.
Are you selecting to speak with customer services or another area?

I have called three different EE customer services numbers today and they all say it’s the festive period so call back during office hours and then it hangs up. All calls have been between 8am and 4pm.

@CamiLeitner Customer support is on 150 from any EE device. I called it today to check myself and it worked.

So just an update..... I was trying to cancel my broadband within the 14 day cooling off period; the 14th day being Boxing Day. No matter what number I rang I couldn't get through as they were closed. I did get through to tech support and they tried to put me through to correct department but couldn't and confirmed that EE were closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day. They left a note on my account. I called the next day and EE agreed that because they were closed for the last two days of my 14 day cooling off period that they would still allow me to cancel without paying any early termination charges.... It all turned out well in the end but for a day I was freaking out about being potentially charged £251 for exiting early from a 24 month broadband contract.

Well for reasons unknown some people were receiving a recorded message saying "the office is closed and to call back during office hours," as I did; others like yourself managed to get through. I think EE should look in to this. When I talked to them yesterday, they said the reason I couldn't get through was because the office was closed but clearly for you it wasn't. Either way it is not good customer service (something EE prides itself on) to have inconsistent results amongst various customers calling on the same day and getting opposing claims as to whether the office is open or not.
Not grumbling as I managed to successfully sort out my issue in the end and I'm glad that you didn't experience the same problem as some of the rest of us. Happy New Year...😊
