Phone No Sound When Pick Up

I have recently switched over to EE. I had a traditional landline phone. On switchover i plugged my phone directly into the hub as instructed. Now the phone rings and when we answer there is no connection/no sound.  Is there anything else that I need to do? I have reviewed all the settings on my phone and all is ok.

Activation date was end of March. Phone worked ok for first few weeks.

I have restarted the router and tested with my mobile and it appears to be working. I will wait to see what happens when someone calls in.

Thanks for your help

That sounds promising, @Jonty1964

Fingers crossed that's it sorted. Let us know if the problem returns please.

The phone works now. I should have thought of rebooting the router. Not used to the digital voice operation yet

@Jonty1964 Please do let us know if the same condition returns, this was a known fault that was appearing as a random and leaves user's in a situation where they have zero confidence in the phone working when they need it to be, although the switch off/on almost always appears to reset and clear the fault it is NOT the solution that is required as a permanent FIX.
