I like many as I have seen on here want to be able to turn off my landline voicemail, and was very frustrated when I found that this was not possible. It’s also makes it extremely difficult for people with mobility issues to answer the phone before the voicemail kicks in even with setting it to 10 rings. Does anyone know if a petition has been set up to get this made possible or if anyone has reported the issue to ofcom.

I'm not sure what a local U3A is - can you explain please?

Im not directing the request to JimM11, as I suspect you are connected with EE.
To other people that have contacted me.
EE are adversely affecting mainly elderly people.U3A is an organisation for retired people,
By strange coincedence BT had an advert in the U3A magazine saying how much they were helping the elderly.
I don't think EE are. And yes EE went bust and were bought by BT. They are are the same entity.
Too many sharp business practices. Some regard that sentence to mean "legal money gauging from customers"

@strangerover All contact from an EE Employee will specifically say so then you DO know that is what you have. Never mind if you had looked to other post's you would have see not.

I think this would be very helpful, I do not want the voicemail service, I do not find it useful.
