Hi Everyone.
I have a EE smart hub on full fibre. I also have the home phone service. I have just purchased a Home Phone Plus handset to replace my original Panasonic DECT system. When setting up the ringing option the display shows " Ringing Currently Not Available". When there is a incoming call the correct details are shown in the display but the handset doesn't ring but will ring if I press Vol+ or Vol- key and continue to ring until i answer the call.
I have factory reset the handset but that has made no difference, I have also carried out a software update and the display shows it is up to date.
If I reconnect the DECT phone and there is a incoming call that phone rings. I have logged into the EE Hub and everything looks as it should be.
Does anyone out there have any ideas.
I have also ordered an additional Home Phone Plus handset so I have the same arrangement as the DECT system.
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

Hi JimM11.
Thank you for your reply and time.
I have just downloaded the Advanced Digital Home Phone User Guide and it is the same as the EE one.
I didn't mention in my first posting that I can also make the ringer sound from " Find my phone on the online hub"
The handset will not ring until I press the Vol+ or Vol- keys when there is an incoming call on the display.
Also there is no difference if the ringer on/off function is in use it still doesn't ring.

@Philipos See page 10, down next to the zero key, switch ringer on/off function!

I have tried that already as in my last post, it makes no difference whether the display shows ringer on or off
If I go in to settings, sounds and select the sounds option after about 3 seconds the display shows " "Error Not currently Available"
I have just looked at a link on here for the BT version and when doing the above the sounds option gives you a choice of rings my handset doesn't

@Philipos The ringer choice is all stopped now so no longer an option! Text PHONE to 66033 and have EE test your connection, or call them!
