We recently had fibre installed and with that package had an EE Home Phone Plus.
I have a voluntary job and need to withhold my phone number from clients we need to contact. 141 works OK to withhold my number when I tap out the number manually, however if a number is listed in my Contacts with 141 in front of it, the 141 does not work and clients can see my number. Is there any way round this or do I just have to tap out all numbers manually? Many thanks for any insight 🙂

@Serenissima : Can you insert a Pause (P) after the 141 in your contacts?

Thank you for your reply XRaySpex.
If I do that I just get a number 7 coming up.

No, I don't mean pressing the '7' key. On my Panasonic when dialling a no. a 'P' appears in the display corresponding to 1 of the function buttons.

I just have a very basic Home Phone Plus landline phone. No P comes up when I dial a number.

@Serenissima Try a comma after the 141,,, each one should be a 2 second delay between the 141 and the number, that may work just depends on what the phone FW does. Everything is stored in the EE Hub, the phone is just a dumb connection....

Here is link to my userguide - layout of phone is on page 9 - there are no commas available to use.
But thank you for trying to help!

@Serenissima Try 10 space characters in between it then. It may be the zero key that is the pause if it allows shift to the alphabet in the number option. or try #0 together. Failing this ditch the phone and get something that works with a pause function, EE Phone Guide expert like @Ali_A @JordanTA might be able to find out or advise, cannot see the phone not having a pause input method, but you just never know!

Well there's no way I can get a space to appear. Thank you and XRaySpex for your valiant attempts to help. I'll see what Ali A suggests.

@Serenissima The latest FW dump to the EE Hub has alleged the ability now to export and import the DV phone book, that if it works you would be able to go edit the file on a PC/Laptop etc insert the coma to the numbers required, re import the corrected file and see if it works. Just another suggestion if it helps.
