Digital Voice - No dial tone - Contstant engaged like tone

My EE Digital Voice service constantly stops working. I get a engaged beeping sounding tone. A router restart used to temporary fix the issue but that no longer works. I restarted the router 3 times. Powered off everything for a while and tried re-registering the handsets via the set-up process. Nothing works. Even if I do eventually get it working, it will do this again in a short time.

Honestly, this whole Digital Voice service has been nothing but problems. I look around and see many others with the same issues. I miss the old copper line service because at least that actually worked 99% of the time.

@dredd84 Can you post what/which router that you have with the DV connected landline, It may be the router that is the issue and you are correct reported all over that most times power off/on clears and yes it can be short lived also...

EE Smart Hub Plus 6 - only couple months old. Handset is a Panasonic KX-TGD320.

@dredd84 Then the issue is with the router FW on the EE Smarthub+ as reported, no fix currently, but alleged that there is an impending FW update for the specific router, only fix but not fully confirmed is that the new EE Pro wi-fi 7 router is working A OK

Just tried all the temp fixes again and nothing worked. Why do I get the feeling that this so called FW update will never come.

@dredd84 The norm for getting it working and you are correct is off/on with the router, you may need to text PHONE to 66033 for EE to take a look see, it may not be just your router and you have a service issue!

I tried the texting PHONE thing and it said is everything is running fine, which it is not. I tried calling EE but they force you to use the text PHONE service, so it's impossible to speak to a human being about this. I can't wait to leave EE.
