@Martyn163 Was it the ADSL filter that did the trick or something else?

Hello @Martyn163 ,
Welcome to the community,
Have you checked that you have not turned the sound off, that is put it on silence or put it on do not disturb?
Have you tried rebooting the phone?

The phone is my old landline wired unit. It has a switch on one side for the ringer which is marked Off-Low-High. It doesn't make any difference, there is no sound at all. If you pick the handset up there is a dialling tone and you can make a call. The base of the phone is marked REN1. It is quite and old phone!

@Martyn163 It has been noted before some off the older phones struggle with ringing, but that inserting a ADSL filter between phone and connection assist's, there may be a spare sent in the box if you have not already used.

It was a bit hit and miss but I just plugged and unplugged the ADSL filter a few times then hey presto - it worked!

@Martyn163 Thanks for getting back, hope that it continues to keep the ringer working!
