I have had exactly the same experience. £33.68  of extra charges to calls to 00160 483 10514.

5 calls each lasting less than 2 minutes. None of these calls appear in my call log and the phone was with me at the times of the calls so nobody else could have made them. I have spoken to EE which refunded me £20 as a goodwill gesture but was unable to explain how these calls were made. EE also put a cap on my bill so that no more calls can be made outside my standard charge package of £10.90 pm.

I explained to the EE support staff that there are a number of similar experiences outlined on this forum, some for much larger sums of money. However, they had no explanation and no suggestions as to what I could do to take the matter further.

I've been a customer of EE for 10 years and this is the first time anything like this has happened to me.

@Malleson : That would seem to be a Yankee no. & thus so expensive. 8 mins calls to USA @ £4.21 / min = £33.68. Checks out!
