hello,
my contract is due in October,  I will not  live in the UK for another year and therefor I want to downgrade my contract.  I do not see any side or any help from EE how to do that.  Anyone can tell me who to call or send an email to?

thanks

@pepper71  You can not lower your contract to a cheaper one until you are within the standard upgrade period and that’s 45 days before your minimum term.    If you change this to a sim only contract that contract will not commence until you have fulfilled your current contract term.

But as you are out of the UK if you do change to a lower tariff you might find that you loose a network connection as you should only change tariffs when you are connected to the EE network directly.  If you do do this you’ll still have to pay for that new contract even if you can not use the sim/allowances of that new contract.

so basically wait till end of contract and then reduce_?  is there a notice period_?

means ,  i can only reduce cost by cancelling contract?

There's 30-day notice period to cancel but you can just "upgrade" to a lower tariff in the last 45 days of your contract.

@XRaySpeX   Yes you can upgrade but to have that cheaper tariff you need to take out a full device contract to have it start straight the way:    If its an upgrade to sim only contract that will start once the full term of the old contract has been completed.

Any upgrade from a device contract to a sim only now results in the old contract being completed to the minimum term before the sim only takes effect.     It’s now pointless to upgrade within the 45 days to a sim only thinking you’ll benefit from it.

I don't see that the OP has a device contract currently.

@talhafarhan310 : You may cancel within the statutory 14-day cooling-off period from delivery provided you ordered by phone or online but not in an EE store.
