iphone 17pro upgrade

I upgraded my contract to the new Iphone 17 Pro (Blue) on saturday 20th to the full works plan

I was told that i would lose one of my add ons - either Netflix or TNT as they don't do both anymore as i had all 3 - Apple Music, Netflix & TNT.

I was very reluctant to go ahead as i was losing a lot if i upgraded.

I was then told that i would get All in One which comes with Apple Music & i can choose between TNT & Netflix.

I then agreed to upgrade reluctantly with All in One & Netflix as part of the deal

Today - Thursday 18th I had to register the Netflix on my TV and Phone as the plan changed over and new Iphone 17 Pro (blue) to be delivered tomorow but no Apple Music?

I then called up EE and asked them what was going on as i cant get access to Apple Music. I was then told that i dont have Apple Music on the Upgrade that i did. I was really annoyed and explained to them what was sold to me. after on hold  for about 15 minutes i was told as a good will gesture i would get £20 and Apple music free for 6 months only.  I was even more annoyed and frustrated as i also checked my Invoice/Contract summery which states IPHONE 17 PRO BLUE 1TB 7 and Delivery notice states IPHONE 17 PRO BLUE 256GB. You can imagine my horror ?

Is it me or is EE getting worse & worse by the day?

I've been a customer since 1995 from One2One to T-Mobile to EE and looking back it was so much better in those days and now its just getting unbearable.

Gone are the days of Customer Retention & Loyalty

Anyone got any intake to this?

I would very much like to hear your opinions.

We go back as far as 1998 and the Orange days and then having fun hoping between T-Mobile & Orange Masts before they rebranded as EE

So I know where your coming from,I have so many stressful situations with EE these days and the only time you can actually get common sense out of agents is when you request a PAC code to leave,I've never been out of contract for this long but literally it's got to that point that we made the switch away.

We are now helping build a new network from the ground up that even cares about the environment we live in.

hey June,

Appreciate your reply,

It looks like it's come to that point after 30 years with them that i will have to leave as i have requested for a PAC, but i will have to wait a week or so as it will take that long to revert back to my original package that i had before opting to upgrade.

When you request the PAC code it's valid for 30 days so it won't affect the reversing at all, once you have the code it's up to you when you give it to your new network.

The only thing it did under my online account was offer us an overpriced sim only deal to stay and popped it in our basket, but then any current upgrade offers disappeared.

But keep an eye on your phone calls after your request is sent through and keep the PAC code details safe. (Screenshot works)

It was hard for us to do this but seeing full signal everywhere now on our devices makes me wonder why I didn't do it sooner.

thanks

Good luck with building a new network operator! You may need this, given that two other operators are currently merging...

I suspect you're referring to an MVNO (virtual operator)

Even in MVNO Form any new operator needs to start somewhere however they have took the Initiative and started buying up transmitters that have been abandoned and took ownership of them.

Quite unique and so far we've had no dropouts, disconnected calls or data loss.

Some interesting comments, the immediate one being who "they" is?

More importantly though, what do you mean by "buying up transmitters" and "taking ownership"? When an MNO exits a particular site, they will take their active radio equipment (antennas included) with them. Passive kit such as tower structures will be site-by-site specific.

Feel free to PM instead.

Today is the 23rd Sept and still no sign of the phone?
called DPD for them to tell me the phone is missing and I have to contact EE and tell them of the situation🙄

called EE and updated them and they said it would take up to 72 hours and then re issue me with another one
