We received a letter in my Daughters name ( old account holder) saying we owed £24.14 on our EE bill when I change my account I was told that any existing payment would be transferred to new account so why am I getting a letter saying I’m in debt but no letter direct from EE I’ve paid it but not happy

Hi @Yorkie53
Welcome to the community.
When you transfer from one account to another, the payment details can get transferred over to the new account. If there is a balance left on the old account, it should have been taken by Direct Debit, if that agreement was still in place with the payer's bank.
I'm sorry if it wasn't explained fully. If you'd like someone to take a look into what happened, I recommend speaking with our Customer Support team.

In legal terms, it's your daughter that's received the letter saying she owes an amount - not you, else the letter would have been addressed to you!
Are you saying that your daughter conducted a change of legal ownership of a phone, that you then took over? Was the amount in question transferred to your new account as you expected it to?
