How much VAT do I pay on my phone bill. Where can I see this on my bill?

@JBen26 : You pay the standard rate of VAT on your mobile bill, i.e. 20% of the input price or more obvious to you 16.7% of your charged gross price. All EE consumer bills are inclusive of VAT & VAT is not shown separately.

Why is this so difficult to do EE? We are used to seeing VAT on our bills - why not just show it?

Hi @JANGLES58
Welcome to the community.
Our bills for personal users now show all charges inclusive of VAT.
If you need a VAT breakdown for business purposes, you would need to switch to a business account.

"Inclusive of VAT" yes, but why not as a separate line? I shouldn't have to have a business account for that purpose. Even shop receipts shows VAT separately.

If you charge VAT by law you have to give a receipt

@cupateee3 : Only if you are VAT registered & if you are VAT registered you should be taking out a business contract, not a consumer 1.

@cupateee3 And you receive a bill each month which has the vat included with that price.
If you’re a PAYG customer you can use your bank statement a proof of purchase.
It’s not required by law. It’s only your proof of purchase

Hi Leanne
I'm still chasing this up. I believe the account to which I referred is a business account but still no VAT breakdown on my invoice!
Could you please let me know which ADR scheme EE falls under so that I may escalate my complaint. Thank you.

@JANGLES58 : The Ombudsman Service but you 1st need to have taken up a formal complaint with EE and either reached a deadlock or waited 8 weeks with no resolution.
