Taking over contract from ex

Hi my ex has my phone contract in their name. It is a sim only contract. I would like to take it over but they are refusing to help me and won’t call EE with me or authorise me to speak with EE. What can I do? It is yet another control tactic in a long list. Thank you for any advice.

@magnolia09   If your ex is unwilling to help you then unfortunately you can not take over the contract.   You can start a new contract in your name but you’ll have a new number.  You are not responsible for this contract as it’s not in your name.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Unfortunately the nature of your relationship with the account holder is irrelevant. It is they who are legally responsible for the phone, and if they want to retain control & ownership they are perfectly entitled to do so.
