Services from other companies

My recent bill has a charge of 15p for ‘Services to other companies’.

I’ve searched on the reference number & telephone number given and this says it’s relating to: 02 Infracast (text).

I have no idea what this is and did not send a text to anyone new on or around the date given or asked for any payment of 15p to be made!

I know it’s only 15p but I want to get to the bottom of it in case it keeps happening.

Can anyone give any advice on this please?

I have an update.

I originally emailed support@infracast.com.  I received an auto reply telling me to contact operations@imimobile.com instead.

I have received a reply from that second email which says:

We have checked our audit logs against your MSISDN and we are unable to find the charge you have mentioned on the given date.

We have also cross checked the shortcode mentioned and I can confirm this code is not one of ours.

You will need to raise the below enquiry into EE to identify where this charge has come from.

This seems a bit fishy doesn’t it?  Can an EE representative comment?

Hi everyone

I just spoke to a fantastic EE agent who took his time and really looked into my 15p query.

Apparently the 15p is a charge from when I opted out of text messages with Hello Fresh 😡, these companies are making money from people who are opting out from their annoying text messages!!!

The reference code 81550 comes from the number you text back.

Advice - DO NOT OPT OUT of any text messages it will save you money, just block them, every little help.

Screen shot of my Opt Out text message below.

I hope this helps anyone wondering where the 15p charge came from.

No, it's EE! You are being charged for sending a text to a shortcode which is not included in your texts allowance.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

Had the same charge in Sept and from your post above traced it to opting out of HelloFresh SMS messages. Lesson learnt. Thanks

Thank you! Same happened to me. And indeed I checked my SMS and I OPT OUT Hello fresh...I've been charged 19p.

I had the same but mine was 0.19 p

The only thing I could find that matched the date and time was one of those “text STOP to stop receiving texts from us” that I sent to Hello Fresh to get them to stop harassing me to rejoin their subscription service. Technically not a scam, but still feels like one 😕

I wonder if anyone else had a similar situation.

Hi @emilybennett

If you use the Third Party Phone Bill Charges Help page to enter the number or reference number that has been charged to the bill, this will show the company details.
